In an interview with Fox News, Derek emphasized that while starting a young family and creating a new family tree branch is a meaningful commitment, it simply hasn’t been part of their lives yet.

She also highlighted John Corbett’s ability to make her laugh and his vibrant, joyful personality. According to Derek, their relationship continues to thrive and make them feel at home, little by little.
